TITANIUM EUROPE 2017
The International Titanium Association (ITA), Denver, CO, USA, will host the fifth annual TITANIUM EUROPE 2017 conference and exhibition on the 17-19 May at the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The gathering, a platform to gain insights into the European titanium industry, will serve as a premier networking venue for business executives.

Industry executives and business analysts will provide outlooks on titanium world supply and demand, illuminate developments on the ever-lengthening global supply chain, offer forecasts on near-term business trends, and report on the dynamics of new industrial markets and innovative products. Last year’s event was held in Paris and drew 400 attendees with 50 exhibitors.

Speakers for the “World Titanium Industry Demand Trends” will feature Wade Leach of ATI; Henry Seiner of TIMET; Albert Bruneau of Neotiss High Performance Tube; Michael Metz, VSMPO Tirus US; Eric Roegner of Arconic followed by the Titanium Aerospace Demand & Integrated Supply Chain segment with distinguished speaker Raphaël Duflos, Vice President Metallic Materials Procurement for Airbus SAS.

“Titanium Demand and Trends in the Jet Engine Market” is the title of Leach’s presentation. In October 2014 he was promoted to senior vice president – commercial, ATI Specialty Materials. Leach was appointed vice president of sales, marketing and product management in February 2006.

Seiner will share insights on “Trends in the Defense Market: A Titanium Perspective.” As Timet’s vice president of business strategy, he oversees marketing, product management, purchasing and production planning activities and has responsibility for and visibility into all aspects of Timet’s supply chain. He also serves as the president of the ITA’s board of directors.

Bruneau’s presentation will examine the current state of industrial markets. For the last four years he has been the executive vice president of Neotiss High Performance Tube (formerly Vallourec). Neotiss, headquartered in Boulogne Billancourt, France, is a worldwide producer of titanium and stainless steel welded tubes for heat exchangers.

Metz will deliver an outlook on the Russian titanium market. He joined VSMPO Tirus US in November 2003 as vice president, commercial and was named president of the organization in 2007. VSMPO is the largest producer of titanium in the world, vertically integrated from titanium sponge manufacture through melting and mill products. He has served on the ITA’s board of directors since 2007.

Roegner will address the topic of airframes. He serves as chief operating officer, Investment Castings, Arconic Titanium and Engineered Products and President, Arconic Defense since 2012.

Duflos, the vice president, metallic materials procurement for aerospace giant Airbus SAS, will discuss his views on the global titanium market. Throughout his career he has had extensive experience on supply chain and procurement issues. As a guest speaker at TITANIUM USA 2016, Duflos discussed global titanium aerospace demand and a systematic de-risking of the integrated supply chain.
